With the rise of the novel coronavirus COVID-19, the Yakima 35th Seventh-day Adventist church is determined to worship in a way that is ethical, cares for our members and visitors, and ultimately glorifies God through our prudence and actions. Because of this, we are taking steps to help worship safely and continue to stay open during this time.
Because of this, we ask that anyone coming to our church follow these guidelines at all times:
- Facial coverings or masks must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times before, during, and after the service, by all participants whether on stage or not.
- A minimum six-foot social distancing between members of the different social pods at all times, included when sitting in the sanctuary or engaging before, during, or after the service.
- Refrain from congregational singing, pot-lucks, or social events larger than 10 people.
- Engage in regular, thorough hand-washing and/or hand-sanitizing.
We invite you to worship with us! But if you are feeling sick, experience flu-like symptoms (cough, fever, body-aches, sneezing), or have been diagnosed with COVID-19, we ask that you worship with us remotely through our live-stream services.
On behalf of the church body, we thank you for cheerfully and joyously following these guidelines, as we strive to live out Christ's mandate to "love our neighbors as ourselves" (Mark 12:31) during these difficult times.
