Journey to Bethlehem

About Journey

Journey to Bethlehem is an interactive free Christmas experience. Walk through the city of Bethlehem like it was during the time of Christ's birth. Over one hundred actors, with twenty-one sets, and a dozen animals make the town of Bethlehem come to life. Talk to the wisemen and see their camel, haggle with a goat merchant, stop by the inn, watch a blacksmith heat metal, and visit the stable where Mary and Joseph cuddle their new born baby Jesus. Watch the story of Christs birth unfold before your eyes

History

The
Yakima Seventh-day Adventist Church took on the task of putting together a Journey to Bethlehem in early 2009. They worked all year financing, building and decorating the sets, and gathering the huge cast that would put the production on. The first weekend of December 2009 they opened up the experience to the Yakima Community free of charge as a Christmas gift.
